Early Saturday morning Rehab 13 was dispatched to the unit block of W. Chapel Avenue near Cherry Hill High School west for the “all hands” dwelling fire for personnel support. CHFD members had a (2) story wood frame dwelling well involved upon arrival on the scene. 1st due companies placed (2) 2 1/2″ lines in service to the A and C sides of the fire building to begin fire control.
At 0111 hrs. Rehab 13 was sent to the scene and (9) personnel and (3) units form Rehab 13 responded to the scene are were directed to the front parking lot of Cherry Hill High School across form the fire building to begin providing fluids and snack foods to the members along with a cooling station and rest room opening. Rehab 13 served (10) MVP drinks, (14) bottles of water, (2) pots of coffee, used a dozen cotton towels and (1) table for the rest and recovery function of the rehab company.
Rehab 13 units arrived on the scene at 0137 hrs. and operated until 0249 hrs. when released by Command (1300). All units were re-supplied by 0320 hrs.
The cause and origin of this fire are under investigation.
