Just after midnight on that Friday night a car traveling NB on Cropwell Road struck the rear of a car making a left turn on Rabbit Run Road and left a trail at the time of the accident. The car veered to the right and struck the curb, pedestrian sign, and hydrant at the same time and came to a stop on the apparatus driveway and spilled the contents of its oil pan as the hydrant was stuck under the car after the hit. Messy.
All were cleaned up by an outside contractor and the sign and fire hydrant were back in place at the beginning of the week.
