On Thursday afternoon April 4, 2018 the working fire box was requested by Cherry Hill Ladder 1324 for the 5th floor of the 6 story condo building located at this address. The initial call went out for a carbon monoxide detector. Upon Ladder 1324’s arrival the truck had heavy smoke showing on the the number 5 floor with smoke on the 6th floor and requested the working fire box. The “all hands” box was requested by Battalion13 shortly thereafter followed by a 2nd and 3rd alarm. Some building occupants were rescued from balconies via ladder during the incident.
Rehab 13 was dispatched after the third alarm and responded with 7 personnel and two apparatus to provide personnel and civilian support at the fire scene in the form of liquids hot and cold, snack foods, and our rest room facility from 1545 hrs. until 1701 hrs. when released by Cherry Hill Command 1300.
This was the 2nd working fire of the day for the Cherry Hill ire Department.
This fire’s cause in under investigation by local and Camden County officials.
