This afternoon the Task Force was struck for the 7500 block of Forrest Avenue in Pennsauken Township for the dwelling fire. Arriving companies had a single family wood frame structure well involved and the “all hands” was struck. Rehab was dispatched to the scene at 1559 hrs.
Rehab 13 responded with all (3) apparatus and (8) personnel to the scene and had to be staged about a block away due to fire apparatus positioning prior to our arrival. Rehab units set up the rest and recovery area and proceeded to supply the incident scene members with (42) bottle of MVP, (30) bottles of water, (3) pots of coffee, (48) 100 % gourmet all beef hot dogs, (15) packs of assorted cookies, (15) hand and foot warmers, (1) pair of pants, opened the rest room, (10) cooling towels, and set up one table for coffee, condiments and snack foods. Rehab 13 was in service on the fire ground from 1641 hrs. until 1838 hrs. when released by command. All Station 13-8 units were back in service by 1950 hrs.
The fires origin and cause is under investigation. The dwelling was reported to be under renovation.
This was our first response since October 25, 2018.
