On this date Cherry Hill along with multiple South Jersey towns suffered the affects of a major thunderstorm which packed a line at the head of the front with heavy straight winds. Some areas had winds in the 60 to 80 MPH intensity. Many trees and power lines came down and caused power outages that in some cases created long term loss of power to residents, street lighting, and traffic signals.
Cherry Hill Fire Police were on the scene of a traffic light power outage at Springdale Road and Kresson Road which is a major intersection in our township and U1386 from Rehab 13 was special called at 2152 hrs. to provide lighting for the Fire Police members working to direct traffic at this intersection.
U1386 also provided (7) bottles of MVP, (4) bottles of cold water, and (6) snack bars for the Fire Police crew. U1386 was on scene until 2230 hrs when the power came back on and was stable.
