As Rehab 13 was leaving the fire ground in Voorhees we were dispatched to Gloucester County, Westville for a special call for flooding along the properties along the creek that feeds into the Delaware River. The localized flooding caused a lot fo property damage and many residents had to be helped to safety. Swift water rescue teams were also dispatched to the scene.
Rehab 13 was dispatched at 053 hrs. and responded with (2) apparatus and (4) personnel to the scene. It was a low response to the scene due to many routes to the area were blocked by high water making arriving there difficult.
Once set-up Rehab 13 supplied the following to all 1st responders on the incident: including (48) bottles of MVP, (38) bottles of water, (5) pots of coffee, (24) hot dogs, (38) breakfast sandwiches,
(36) packs of Famous Amos Cookies, (1) box of asst. nuts, (24) breakfast bars, rest room was opened, (2) tables, (1) EZ Up, (6) folding chairs, and provided a cell phone charger.
Rehab 13 operated from 0634 hrs. until being released at 0902 hrs. hrs. to return and re-supply. The unt was back in service by 1103 hrs.
