The Mount Laurel Fire Department under the command of Chief John Colucci and Lt. Mark MacArthur held an MCI exercise on Saturday morning off of Route 38 and Briggs Road. A simulated school bus versus pickup truck MVC was set up with multiple injures to test the capabilities of Mount Laurel Fireand Rescue, Mount Laurel EMS, ALS, and mutual aid companies to handle the large number of patients and the incident scene challenges that come with this type of call.
Rehab 13 operated at two different locations with (2) apparatus and (7) personnel to provide hot food, hot and cold liquids, snack foods and rest room facilities for the duration of the incident. Rehab 13 and U1386 (rehab support unit) were on scene until 1253 hrs. and returned to restore the apparatus and supplies and were in service by 1345 hrs.
