A building fire box alarm was dispatched in Burlington County for the 2800 block of Auburn Street on this date at 1309 hrs. Arriving companies found a 3 story wood frame multi-family well involved on all floors and through the roof. All responding 1st alarm companies were placed in service and water supplies were established. Additional units were required and were assigned by CP 36 upon arrival.
At 1531 hrs. Rehab 13 was requested and was dispatched to fire the scene for personnel support, primarily for hot food for the fire scene. Other rehab units were on scene from Burlington County and were in service for liquids and shelter but the additional food support made it necessary for Rehab 13 to be special called to the incident.
Rehab 13 responded to the scene with all (3) apparatus (Rehab 13, U1386 rehab Support, and U1388) and (9) personnel. Rehab 13 arrived and once set up provided the following support: (72) bottles of MVP, (48) bottles of water, (30) frozen Sqwinchers, (64) hot dogs, (12) packs of Famous Cookies, (20) bags of granola and snack bars, (10) bags of pretzels/chips, opened the rest room on Rehab 13, (3) buckets, (1) 6′ table, (1) aluminum serving tray, and cell phone charger was placed in service. Rehab 13 operated on the fire grounds from 1618 hrs until released by command at 1808 hrs. All units were resupplied and back in service by 1900 hrs.
The fire origin and cause are under investigation.
